Review: LUSH Rub Rub Rub!

I don't know about everyone else, but for me, when I find a product I really love, I stick with it. I usually only try new things in my beauty regime if I am unhappy with what I'm already using, or if there is a ridiculous sale going on that I cannot resist.
I am crazy about exfoliating! I love anything with a little grit in the shower, as it is great for keeping your skin looking fresh. LUSH makes a divine body scrub called Rub Rub Rub ($19.95/330g). I will never need to buy another body exfoliator again as long as it is in production because it ROCKS in every possible way.
Inside my pot of RRR
LUSH considers this scrub to be a shower gel, and on its website you will find RRR under the shower gel section. It is vibrantly blue, and packed with fine sea salt, which is mineral-rich, and great for cleansing and softening. LUSH suggests you can also use it as a shampoo, but I have never done this. It is described as smelling like mimosa and orange blossom absolute, but to me it just smells pretty and fresh-- what a pathetic description of scent! You should probably smell it for yourself, but I promise you it smells lovely. It's not overly strong in scent, but it is pleasantly scented.
Typical LUSH expiry label- thanks Nic for the awesome product!
How do I use Rub Rub Rub? Once in the shower, I will scoop a little out and rub it over my back, arms, stomach etc. to exfoliate dead skin. This scrub is amazing for body acne because the salt is very cleansing, and it has organic lemon juice for extra cleansing power. RRR also lathers like crazy, so you get tons of bubbles to wash away dirt!
Up close look at the texture of Rub Rub Rub!
One of the reasons I love Rub Rub Rub is because it is fairly cheap by LUSH standards. You get a huge tub for under $20.00 that will last you quite some time. However, do NOT use this product as a facial exfoliator. Ocean salt is a better bet for this, and it is another of my LUSH staples.
Overall, this product is a must-have for everyone! It softens, cleanses and exfoliates, all the while making you smell good! It is also pretty and has a fun name ;)
I know I've been doing lots of LUSH reviews lately, but I have some reviews of other brands coming up soon, I promise!

  2. Ack, Stephanie stop tempting me with all this Lush stuff! I'm a big exfoliator, my skin will start to misbehave if I don't so I end up going through something like one of those Body Shop scrubs per month because I do it everyday. Have you been able to use RRR every day because it sounds pretty intense!

    1. It only has fine sea salt so I use it every day. I do not have sensitive skin though. It is not that rough of a scrubber, exfoliators from bath/body works are much harsher although I haven't tried a body shop one!

    3. Yes it is very bright in that photo, but in real life it isn't overly jarring in colour. They could do without so much dye, but LUSH likes making their things bright and 'fun'.
