Julep polish acting weird?

Have any of you girls noticed your Julep polishes acting kind of weird? Some of mine have been separating, and no matter how much I shake them up, I can't get them to act right! Hayden is the worst offender at the moment, but a few other colours of mine are also starting to separate! I put my Juleps in my minifridge because I am wondering if the heat is doing it? I do have air conditioning though.

Here are the photos:

Hayden (top) is really separated, and the bottom colour (Alyson) is starting to separate too!
Any suggestions on what I can do about this?

In other news, NOW IS THE TIME TO SHOP FOR SUMMER SHOES! Everywhere you go, summer shoes are on clear out to make way for the fall styles, so get out there and buy some for next season! I just picked up some TKEE'S which I've lusted after all summer! I refused to pay $60 for a pair of flip flops, but they were on sale: buy one get one free! I got two pairs and I am a very happy camper :)
My TKEES in marshmallow and sable! So comfortable and stylish.
Hope you are enjoying this lovely sunny week :)

  2. I don't have any julep, yet! My goal is to get a couple of all the major brands though. That sounds odd, the separating. You should contact them and ask about it.

  4. I've had this happen to a few of my older polishes, maybe they have gone bad? It doesn't sound like you have had them for a long time tho I don't think it would be from the heat tho unless they were in direct sunlight.

Those flip flops are pretty cute!

  5. A few of my Julep polishes look like that as well. I tried shaking them forever but nothing changed so I just gave up and let me sit on my nail polish rack. Also I don't know if you have the blue color Jaime but it stained my nails SO BAD, it took forever (a couple of days) to get rid of all the stains...just a warning to avoid that polish! The more I think about it Julep polishes aren't they great quality, you get half the amount of polish than most brands and it's almost double the price. I didn't mind getting them as a Julep Maven but I seriously hope no one pays full price for them.

    1. yes I agree, Julep polishes all chip really easily, and I am hearing from other girls that I am not alone with this weird separation issue. They are not that great, which is a bummer!

  6. that's strange. I have never seen anything like that. I'm now starting to doubt about the quality of Julep. I am skipping a month again this month as I don't see any exciting colors again. Will probably discontinue my subscription soon.

    1. Yes -- especially since they say their polishes are worth $14 a bottle! I wouldn't spend that much on a bottle of polish that separates this way! ever!

    2. I definitely don't think their polish is worth that. To be honest, if I didn't get a beauty product with my box, I wouldn't pay the 19.99 for the polish. I love most of the colours..but I have a few problem children in my lot.

  7. My Julep did too. I don't think their polishes are very good.

Thanks for stopping by the Walkabout Wednesday Blog Hop!

    1. It is a shame they're having such quality issues. They need to sort that out!!

  8. Wow! I've had polishes separate before but never to not remix. I don't own any Juleps though so can't tell you anything about it. It must be a quality issue. Bummer! I know most people get their's through the sub but aren't they pretty expensive to buy on their own? I would expect them to be better than that.

  9. Such an odd separation in the polish! Usually it should go away when shaken up and be totally fine. I don't personally own any Julep at the moment so unfortunately I can't help. So weird!

  10. Hmm my Julep haven't done that yet... I should dig out my older ones though (just moved so they are packed away) and make sure they aren't doing that. Have you contacted Julep at all? Maybe they would replace it?

  11. My Hayden is the SAME way..I'm so annoyed. It actually came like that. Your right..even if you take your brush and try to scrape the sides, it won't budge! If you email let me know if they do anything, I'll email as well then! Mine was in the mystery box as well.

  13. typos..
I only have 10-15 Juleps, but none of them have done that (though most of mine are glitters, so it's harder to notice). The only time I've had that problem with polish, it was either really old or I hadn't stored it properly (near a window/ in the bathroom in the humidity).
