You may have started thinking about Fall -- I know I have. It is my favourite season, and with Fall comes a pretty standard revamp in your closet and with your makeup/skincare routine. However, last year I recall that we had summer heat right up until mid-October in Ontario, so my mind is still set on shine control! I received a package of Boscia Vanilla Blotting Linens ($12.00/100 sheets) in a beauty bag I purchased recently, and I was excited to try them out. I think if you are familiar with the Boscia blotting linens, you are most likely aware of their green tea linens, which I am guessing are their most popular or well-known blotting linens. I was extremely happy to receive the vanilla linens because I LOVE all things vanilla.

The linens do not have any powdered coating like some other branded blotting papers- it is just the linen doing all the work! They're a fair size, definitely enough to dab the majority of your face. They leave a matte finish and only take a second to apply! I am a true convert and these will be a staple in my purse for a long time to come- I feel that they are completely affordable and for a Boscia product, they're competitively priced.
as you can see, the Boscia Blotting Linen is a fair size- enough for your entire face! |

In other news, I recently purchased the Caudalie Beauty Elixir after hearing many a rave review! Stay tuned for my thoughts once I've given it a go for a month!
I love the green tea linens and you're right - doesn't disturb makeup at all!
ReplyDeletethey're a fab product- very impressed :)
DeleteI can't wait to hear what you have to say about the Caudalie!
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to some GOOD results from it, I hope?
Deleteahhh, i really need to get some new blotting sheets. i've run out for the past month and haven't gotten around to getting any. so i'll definitely get the boscia ones next time i'm at sephora!
ReplyDeletei hope you love the caudalie spray. its not really a freshen up spray for me like the evian water spray. i use it like a toner most days and i do spritz it sometimes on top of makeup. i used to get like multiple breakouts, but now if any, theres about one only! and the only thing that has changed is this in my routine!
that is awesome!! I wouldn't use it as a freshen up spray either- I've been using it once a day applied to my clean skin in the evenings.
DeleteI haven't tried the Caudalie Elixir yet (on my wish list) but I have been using the Caudalie Cleansing water and I absolutely love it:)
ReplyDeleteSara xx
Yes it seems like a great brand overall - those French know how to do skincare right !
DeleteI don't know if the vanilla blotting linens would be for me, I might try to snack on them when I got really hungry. (Just kidding.. maybe)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing how the beauty elixir works out!
HAHA they really do smell delicious!
DeleteI haven't tried my blotting sheets yet but I have to get on that soon. It's fun to read your reviews of these products right before I use them lol
ReplyDeleteI've been reading great reviews too of the Beauty Elixir but I smelled it in person and it's not really appealing for me so that was disappointing for me.
HAHA oh yeah its true, I am giving you the heads up on all the stuff you got too :P
DeleteIt smells very much like witch hazel, but I don't mind that scent.
I love anything and everything vanilla I'll have to pick some of these up.
ReplyDeleteyes they smell so good! AND they do a great job too.
DeleteI love my Boscia green tea blotting papers - they're amazing - I don't understand why people don't just use these instead of applying blotting powder or reapplying foundation - perhaps they're worried it'll make their makeup disappear? But if you press instead of rub (like you mentioned) these never remove makeup. After I do my makeup for the day, I only carry around these papers and gloss, and I'm good to go - no need to reapply anything :-) One trick I have is to quickly blot before taking any pictures LOL - so that I don't end up with that weird t-zone shininess :-)
ReplyDeleteOoh good idea, I will keep that in mind to always blot prior to photos haha! These are amazing and they're so tiny and lightweight that they're great for carrying around everywhere!
DeleteNice! Vanilla scented huh? =D Boscia blotting papers are great!
ReplyDeleteyes these are so yummy and work very well!
DeleteThe blotting papers look great!! Oh I did a lush haul today and got the fantasy...It is a must have.. So beautiful.. Thank you for reviewing it!! In case you might be interested Bath & Body's new scents came in on Sunday for the fall and they are really nice! Cinnamon Sugared Donut candle is to die for!!! I bought a small one but need to go back and get a larger one. They are 2 for $30..
ReplyDeleteoooh yay now we both have Fantasy! it is gorgeous!!
DeleteI have heard nothing but RAVES for cinnamon sugared donut! I will have to stop in and sniff around :) :)
It is gorgeous!! I was told that only fantasy and the black one were gels. I was blown away at how fast it dried too!! You have to get cinnamon sugared donut. I went back and bought 5 more as I need to stock up on these bad boys!!! lol.. There is a new pumpkin scent that is yummy too but at my store they were almost out of the donut. I was nice and left 2!!! :)
DeleteVery interested in your thoughts on the beauty elixir! I also have heard of good things about the product!

I know, me too! that is why I took the plunge and ordered it.. so far I haven't noticed any changes for the better in my skin but its too soon to write it off yet!
DeleteGreat post! Actually I hear that the paper toilet seat covers that are provided in washrooms can be cut into squares are used for the same purpose! However they would not smell of vanilla, but they would be cheaper!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.opinionatedaboutopi.blogspot.ca/
haha that would be a LOT cheaper indeed!
DeleteI'm not sure how I feel about them smelling like vanilla.. but I do love me some blotting papers!!
ReplyDeleteI loooove vanilla! They have many other scents too though.
DeleteThat blotting paper can be REALLY helpful during these hot days we have! thank you for the wonderful review!!!
ReplyDeleteyes indeed! I have been using mine daily!
DeleteI've not tried this brand but I do use blotting papers regularly. I'm a bit paranoid that they end up making you oilier though (in terms of increasing oil production). The ones I use are by Missha. They're okay but nothing special. I think the texture of them is a bit scratchy. Looking forward to your Caudalie review! :)
ReplyDeleteThese are not scratchy at all, they're smooth as can be!
