LUSH bubblegum lip scrub |
This blend of Fair Trade sugar and deeply moisturizing jojoba oil helps keep lips soft and kissable. This scrub is 100% edible- you could scoop it into your mouth for a treat if you wanted, but that's not what it is for!! To use, glide some of the scrub over your chapped or dry lips, rub your lips together, and then lick off the excess. You should have silky smooth lips after application, and it tastes really yummy.
When I use it, I will put a touch of lip balm on first to ensure that the scrub really sticks easily to my lips. If you try to apply this product to bone dry lips, it may get a bit messy!

as with all LUSH products, the label shows the date it was made on, as well as a 'best before' date! Rosie was kind enough to make this lovely scrub for me- THANKS ROSIE :) |

I make my own lipscrub :) Just so I know what goes into it and I know it won't go off because I only make enough to last a week at a time
ReplyDeletethat is a great idea! and probably a lot cheaper :)
DeleteCare to share your recipe?
DeleteNo bother :) I put half a teaspoon of sugar, quarter teaspoon of honey, a few drops of extra virgin olive oil and a few dops of vanilla (to make it smell nicer :P ) in a little tub and mix it up! You can add more sugar to make it more grainy and the honey helps to stick it on to your lips so it doesn't go everywhere.
DeleteThank you!
DeleteI love this lip scrub!!
ReplyDeletexo
mmm me too :)
DeleteThat looks delicious.
ReplyDeletetrust me, it is!
DeleteI've really wanted to try these! I have one from Bath and Body Works and I absolutely love it!
ReplyDeleteyou should definitely try one out- although I like the idea posted above about making your own.
DeleteRosie made mine too! Probably because I picked mine up in Montreal! I use mine every night and the gobble up the sugary goodness!
ReplyDeletemmm it is something to look forward to, isn't it? it is nice when part of your beauty regime is edible! haha.
DeleteI never knew there were such things as lip scrubs! This looks like a great product.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog by the way, I was wondering if you would like to follow each other? Check out my blog and let me know :)

I think I always overscrub because my lips end up in worse shape with this :P
ReplyDeleteBut your right I have the same flavor and it is pretty deliciour.

haha definitely try my trick of applying lip balm before using! it'll make it much less abrasive.
DeleteThis is my favorite! I love the way it tastes I could seriously eat the whole thing... lol
ReplyDeleteI've read on the LUSH FB page about people eating it just for the sake of eating it! it is a lot cheaper to just eat straight sugar ;) haha.
DeleteLooks sooo good! I love that it's edible, you don't have to worry about accidently swallowing or getting anything harmful in your mouth:)
ReplyDeleteyes! really, we shouldn't use any lip products that aren't edible though!! I hate to think of all the nasty chemicals ingested via lipstick/gloss.
DeleteOh my gooooodness!! I'd love to try something like that. I get dry lips *YUCK!* I'll look into this at some point, I've never tried lush products... but I DEFINITELY need a lip scrub!
ReplyDeleteNEVER tried LUSH?! nooooo. you must go! haha
DeleteWhat other products would you recommend for a LUSH newbie? :)
Deleteocean salt, rub rub rub, a body butter (buffy is most popular), definitely some bar soap (sniff them and pick your fav!), and they have fabulous fresh face masks (get the SA to pick one for you based on skin type and concerns). I love Honey Trap lip balm too!
DeleteI've been eying this product for awhile now. I think I may need to go pick one up this w/e!
ReplyDeletewhich flavour are you going to pick? :)
DeleteProbably Bubblegum, but I am a chocoholic so Sweet Lips may win out. :)
DeleteYet another product of yours I have the urge to eat! LOL Looks really nice...wish I had a Lush nearby! I haven't made an order in awhile...think I may need a Lush fix here soon! Hehe! XO
ReplyDeletehaha can you tell I like to use body products that are seemingly edible? I really love food.. LOL.
DeleteBubblegum is my fav lip scrub!!! I've always thought of lip scrubs as silly, until I fell in love with this one. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting!
yes, they are a luxury but a necessary one because they really do work!
Deleteseems a nice product.. thanx for reviewing it..:)
ReplyDeleteI want to try ti too.:)
no problem, glad you enjoyed my quick review!
DeleteI have the Sweet Lips by Lush.. and I love it! I constantly wanna scrub my lips and lick them off haha.
ReplyDeletehaha yes it is so yummy!
DeleteI've never even heard of lip scrubs - this sounds really neat though so I may have to go check it out! (p.s. you area total lush addict!)
ReplyDeletexx

ReplyDeletehttp://she-shops-alot.blogspot.co.uk/
oh yes LUSH makes fabulous lip care products, def check it out!
DeleteI love lip scrubs, but I always forget to use them!
ReplyDeletemm yes they're a good part of a lipcare routine! if you had a LUSH one you wouldn't forget about it, because its so yummy!
DeleteI use to use lip scrubs but haven't in awhile. I really should.. everything looks better on freshly scrubbed lips.. and when the product is this cute you can't go wrong. Quick question: how closely do you follow the expiration dates for LUSH products? I have purchased a couple of their fresh face masks but can never use the whole thing before it expires :( I'm too nervous to use it after the date.
ReplyDeletexo
With the fresh face masks, you can freeze them! I won't use it past expiry. however, a few days before it expires I stick it in the freezer and then scoop some out to use as needed. I apply it 'frozen' on my face! it still works :)
DeleteWith other products, I don't usually worry about the expiration-- only with facial care stuff. I try to use things up before they expire though.
haha i love seeing the face of the person who made my lush item! i keep hearing that this lip scrub is the best, i wanna try it
ReplyDeleteyou definitely need one in your life!
DeleteCould you do a post about tips for keeping makeup nice and fresh looking in the summer heat? I have dry skin around my mouth/cheeks and need to use moisturizer, but I find when I do, it melts easily and makes me look like I’m sweating more! It’s so annoying and makes me so self conscious.
ReplyDeleteDid you see my post about Urban Decay's setting spray? De-Slick oil control-- this works well to keep your makeup looking fresh! I also have another product on the way that is supposed to help too, I will do a review on it and also include other tips for keeping makeup looking fresh in the summer :) Thanks for the suggestion!!
Deletewoohoo thank you!
ReplyDeleteThanks for checking out my blog! I actually use my own lip-scrub - it's just a bit of rock sugar, and i just gently brush it around my lips with my index finger or a toothbrush.. but I LOOVE LUSH! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT <3
ReplyDeleteNew follower btw ;) can't wait to see what other posts you write up later! x
I have been trying to decided on a lip scrum! I've heard some great things about the lush scrub!!! Your review sold it to me!!! Especially b/c they have bubblegum, yum!!!
